Due to the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, courses in 2020 had been forced to be held online. Although the effectiveness of online classes has been verified, it is mainly assessed by question-naire surveys.\nWe compared the scores of first-year students who were enrolled in 2018–2019 and 2020 in order to evaluate the online courses objectively. As a result, it was suggested that online classes resulted in a lower learning effect than normal in-person classes.
