In addition, the pass rate of the national examination for judo-therapist has decreased in recent years, and the 31st (2023) national examination was the lowest ever at 49.6%. Therefore, there are concerns that the academic ability of stu-dents enrolled in vocational schools of judo-therapist course will decline. Whether the selection of students for admission was appropriate, and whether the education after admission was appropriate to achieve the educational philosophy and goals, cannot be determined without evaluating their work as medical profes-sionals after obtaining national certification of judo-therapist. However, we considered that it would be beneficial for improving our teaching methods by investigating whether the students who entered the school could work on the learning to become judo-therapists. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the relationship among high school grade point average, entrance examination scores, and midterm examination average scores. Furthermore, we analyzed and discussed the students’ performance before and after admission from various angles such as gender, educational background, and entrance exam category.\nWe investigated and analyzed the high school grade point average, entrance examination scores, and midterm examination average scores of 377 students enrolled in a vocational school of judo-therapist course over a 10-year period from 2014 to 2023.\nAs a result, a strong correlation was observed between the fundamental subjects of the midterm exami-nation and the specialized fundamental subjects/specialized subjects of the midterm examination. The high-er the high school grade point average, the better the entrance examination and midterm scores. The col-lege/university graduated group had significantly higher midterm scores than the high school graduated group. Furthermore, in the analysis by entrance examination category, it was clarified that there was no significant difference in the midterm examination scores among the AO (admissions office), general, and recommendation groups. The high school grade point average and the entrance examination scores also did not differ among the three groups. There was no significant difference in the midterm examination scores depending on the timing of taking the
