 note = {本稿の目的は『尋常小学算術』に着目することで，小学校で扱う速さが平均の考えを用いて理想化した平均の速さであるという理解を促進するための授業を開発し，その効果を検証することである．この目的を達成するために，まず戦前の教科書である『尋常小学算術』における速さに関する教材の特徴と課題を整理する．そして，授業開発の視点を2つ定めた．第一は不安定な瞬間速度を理想化して平均速度で考える意味を理解するために日常事象を題材に使うこと，第二は動きを可視化して平均化する過程を理解するために折れ線グラフを使うことを設定したことである．これらの視点に基づき，往復の速さを題材として，小学校第6学年の児童を対象とした授業を開発して実践した．授業において児童は，3つのことを取り組んだ．第一に自動車の動きを折れ線グラフにすること，第二に速さが平均であると理解すること，第三に速さの公式と平均の公式の類似性を見出すことである．これらの結果から，設定した授業開発の視点と開発した授業に一定の効果が認められると結論づけた．, The purpose of this study is to design and conduct classroom lessons aimed at improving elementary school pupils’ understanding of average speed, with a specific focus on the textbook called Jinjo Shogaku Sanjutsu, published in the 1930s. To achieve this purpose, we analyzed the characteristics and issues presented in Jinjo Shogaku Sanjutsu. We then formulated two key perspectives to design a classroom lesson based on insights from the textbook. The first perspective involves introducing a daily-life phenomenon regarding the problem dealt with in the lesson, enabling pupils to understand the significance of average speed as an idealized concept derived from unstable instantaneous speed. The second perspective incorporates the use of a line graph during problem-solving in order to visualize speed fluctuations and the process of averaging. Based on these perspectives, we designed and conducted classroom lessons in 6th-grade classes and analyzed them. The findings indicated that (1) the pupils visualized the speed of a car by using a line graph, (2) they conceptualized average speed as an idealized construct, and (3) they identified similarity between the formulas for speed and average speed.
