A questionnaire survey was conducted on 1156 sports facility users, and 396 people who answered all questionnaire items appropriately were included in the analysis.\nThe findings of this study can be summarized as follows:\n(1) \nA factor analysis of the sports behavior of sports facility users derived five factors: “trendiness,” “satisfaction with community life,” “spectator sports,” “individualization,” and “continuation of exercise and sports.”\n(2) \n“Continuation of exercise and sports” had the highest factor score, followed by “satisfaction with community life,” while “trendiness” had the lowest factor score.\n(3) \nComparisons of the factors and gender revealed that men had significantly higher values in “spectator sports” and “individualization” than women.\n(4) \nComparisons of the factors with age revealed that subjects in their “30s or younger” had significantly higher values in “individualization” than those in their “40s or older.”\n(5) \nIn terms of the purpose of using sports facilities, the highest values were found in the following order: “phys-ical fitness and health,” “overcoming physical inactivity,” “enjoyment and distraction,” “beauty and over-coming obesity,” “interaction with family,” “improvement of personal records and abilities,” “interaction with friends and peers,” and “spiritual
