The subjects were 44 boys and girls from the third to fifth grades of elementary school residing in Ward Z, Tokyo, who participated in a sports project held in Ward Z.\nThe results were as follows:\n1. Attendance decreased for presentations in front of others and events that children viewed negatively.\n2. Some children were unable to continue participation after team changes or even single occurrences of trouble with other children.\n3. Year-long weekly activities succeeded in securing a certain number of participants. Suggested relevant factors include positive interactions among children and between children and university student
