Time was allocated to the students to discuss tactics before at-tacking in these classes. They discussed where and who to attack. We analyzed the content of their discussion.\nThis resulted in four main findings.\n1 17% of all discussions were reason-based strategies.\n2 Students considered the ability of the fielder and who the fielder was.\n3 Students could not understand the tactic of aiming for space away from the base they wanted to run to.\n4 \nFrom the beginning of the classes, the percentage of appropriate situational
